Madelyn

Madelyn is in ICU in critical condition and needs your continued love, positive thoughts, and prayers.
For those of you who are not aware, Madelyn is in an induced coma with hemmoratic pneumonia, toxic shock syndrome, strep infection in her blood, and embolic shower, influenza, and is on a ventilator fighting for her life now.
If you live in the Spokane area we ask that if you are sick, have a cold, cough, or sniffle please do not come to the hospital. This is for the safety of Madelyn. Thank you.
**Sorry, No visitors are allowed in her room at this time due to the recent influenza virus**
We remain cautiously optimistic and are grateful for everything that you have done for all of the family.
Thank you so much for your continued support. I will continue to update this blog page daily.

  13. Maddy,
I can't sleep tonight thinking about you. I try not to question too much how this could happen to such a special, beautiful girl. I pray with all my might for your body to heal quicker and completely. I know in my heart you'll recover, so I focus on all your body parts fighting the infection. You have to be something special to garner all the love and prayers from everyone--even those who don't know you personally.
I was really excited to see you soon and to give you and Mallory a butterfly kit I found. Now I just read you love butterflies, so I can't wait until you can use it with your precious sis. Of course, I pray for your family too, since their suffering right now can hardly be borne I'm sure. You've learned early how powerful love is and can come from even the unexpected places. I just pray that you can wake up soon.

  15. Lord, we ask for a complete and total healing to manifest in Maddy's body, in Jesus Name. I know you hear the cries of her parents and that you love and care for them deeply. Let Your peace and grace cover them and fill their hearts with hope. Hope in You does not disappoint!

As a believer and follower of You, I take the authority given to me by the blood of Jesus Christ and demand that every cell and organ in her body function in health as you designed, I bind anything that is hindering that and cast it out and that sickness and infection must flee in Jesus Name. I thank you, Lord, that You bring health and cures and that You reveal the abundance of peace and truth (Jeremiah 33:6).

Father, I thank you that you hear the cries of Maddy's mom and dad and sister. That you love them and Maddy. Thank you that you care for them and pour out your grace daily to help them to trust in You and Your word.

    In Jesus Name, Amen!

  17. We love you all and are praying constantly. We believe that families are ordered by God specifically and you, Bob and Kara, have been chosen and are uniquely blessed with Maddy and Mallory. He knew that you would be able to see them and love them like no other and He knows the goings on of your hearts right now. He also knows the emotions you need to walk through and He is ready for that. I'm confident that Maddy is hangin' out with Jesus, no doubt having some picnic or motorcycle ride while her body is being allowed to rest and recover.

Anything tangible that we can do for you is yours for the asking. We will continue to meet you in prayer and wait expectantly.

    Blessings-
    The Herringtons

  20. Dear Mady:

You have God's permission to get well!
This morning at our church we prayed for God's healing hand to touch you and to comfort your Mom, Dad, Sister and all those who know and love you. The Pastor asked everyone to be in continued prayer until you are healed. God is also known as "The Great Physician" and with Him and the doctors and staff at Sacred Heart you shall be healed.
May God reach out and place His healing hand on you and those worrying and praying for you and bring you back home soon!

His Love is for infinity and beyond!

    Carrie Harmon's Dad, Jerry

    Hey "Kitty" girl,

I can't stand not seeing your beautiful face in class. I start to cry often when I look at your empty seat, then I stop and say a quick prayer, for your recovery. I know that you can do this! You are one of the toughest and smartest 11 year olds I have ever met. Your daily presence in clas was a constant reminder to all around you of how to act and how learning can be fun. I love you "kitty" girl! I miss you more than you could ever know-I can't wait to see your gorgeous smile again.

    Love your DAWG teacher,

  36. Dearest Bob, Kara, Maddy, and Mallory--
i just heard about your horrible circumstances. although i am not a religious person, i will pray daily for her and for you all to have the strength to be there for her. knowing how active your entire family is, i know it must be tough to see someone who is so full of life struggling to heal. i know in my heart of hearts she will be back out there on her motorcycle soon enough. in the interum, i pray she has the most enjoyable dreams (full of the best parts of life and her family). i will certainly donate PTO for bob to be present for maddy without the stress of missing work.
    God bless, much love--
